Yup I know .The Athalon 64 X2 5000 was what caught my eye . You could add a 1650 Pro from Aria for £30 or for more bucks you could get away with a 3850 and youd have a fairly decent system for loads of games never mind Sims 2 .

But Compaqs are a law unto themselves, other components often don't fit, PSU's for instance.

They're right up there with Dell & HP.

I am reminded of a T-Shirt I once saw, went something like

'I'd rather eat *cough* than ride a Jap bike'.

Substitute Compaq for Jap Bike and that kinda sums up my feelings.

Not that I'd suggest riding a Compaq of course...

So how's the giving up smoking going then? :lol:
