PC Demonic Posession?

It started with the Blaster worm virus. That was
resolved. Then, a few new programs were installed.
Everything was working fine. The downfall started once I
installed MSN 9 Dial Up. Suddenly, the PC began running
VERY slow. Also, it began typing nonsense words on it's
own whether I was trying to write an email online or I
was typing a document offline. Microsoft suggested I
uninstall all of MSN and then reinstall. I did. So far,
I haven't noticed the PC typing on it's own anymore, but
it is still running sooooo slow, that I'm ready to throw
it out the window. In addition, My Norton anti virus
refuses to do virus scans now, says there is an error in
the "script"......whatever that means.
I'm running XP Pro and have more than enough space to
accomodate all the programs installed.
Any ideas? Should I have an exorcism performed?

Norton not running may be related to this (not for sure,
unfortunately)
