Everytime i try to put my PC in standby, i get an error message from Logitech's software:

I put the PC in standby a lot, and do not need to remember to exit the program when i want to. as, all i do is shut the lid, and walk away.

I need the program for the mouse, and cannot find a software update

What do i do?

Thanks,

KGB

It's a common problem ... disable the "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" option in the device manager.

We still don't class a PC as a LapTop

PC = Personal Computer
Laptop = Computer used for personal Work etc... = Personal Computer

Apart from that...

Thanks for your help, it works fine now!

a PC generally refers to a desktop computer.

not that it really matters, glad you got it sorted.

Well ... If I hadn't read the hole post I would have missed "all i do is shut the lid" and would have gone on about not using 'standby' and how best to turn it all off.

That one sentence, because of the 'word' PC, made me look again ... I'm not saying a Laptop is not a PC, just that I'm using you as an example of how things can/could be misread.

A lot of you will remember what other members systems are ... I don't ... I continually treat every post as a new question.

If someone was doing a search for the same problem & knowing that you have a laptop & not a 'PC' per se, would have, may have, missed the answer.

:blush:
