PayPal Pro Shopping Carts

Hello,

My site was built with FP 2003 and I am going to be selling some items from
it via PayPal Pro but I'm wondering if anyone has any
experience/recommendations for the approved integrated shopping carts through
Paypal... ClickCartPro.com, Digishop 3.0, EcommerceTemplates.com, Miva, Mals
Ecommerce.com....etc...

Thanks,
Beverly

Paypal has a whole list of sites that provide shopping carts that work with
PayPal.....check www.paypal.com

Under "Merchant Tools" for your PP account.

HI beverly

I use paypal with my paypal premier account and mals-e ... on my art site
http://clarke-abstract-art.com/ the only draw back is that in using the free
version of mals I can't have a setting for one sale only items which is what
my site is about .. instead I opted to inform buyers at the pos (point of
sale) not to increase the amount. I opted for this way of doing things
because 1. I wanted a free setup. 2. no carts I could find were 100% seo
friendly... this way I'm in control of that aspect.

Note: ... If your using a dwt there is a error that occurs when using paypal
and/or shopping cart codes on your site, this is fixable however.

I could use that if I were using Website Payments Standard - but I want the
"Pro" that keeps the entire transaction on my website (not transferred
between my website and Paypal's.)

Tina, your site looks great. Did you construct the whole site with FP and how
easy was it to do?
I started building my site with publisher 2003 but I'm wondering if FP will
give me a wider range of opportunity. Particularly for an ecommerce online
shop
Any thought's on this anybody?

Kindest Regards

kirkse.

Thank kirkse

Throw that publisher desk top site out NOW.... gone? Good....

Now get out your Web editor :) Each tool to their own job.

Yes I made everything with FrontPage 2003 plus various FrontPage addons.

I made a DWT (dynamic web template) for the template,
see FrontPage DWT Ebook (free) http://frontpage-ebooks.com/dwt-ebook.htm

I made a CSS sheet for the formatting
See FrontPage and CSS
http://accessfp.net/frontpage-2003/tutorials/information-about-css.htm
http://accessfp.net/frontpage-2003/tutorials/creating-css.htm

I used FrontPage Includes for the menus for greater control
FrontPage Include Tutorial
http://anyfrontpage.com/ezine/va/frontpage-includes.htm

(see addonfp.com for a greater visual clue as to how that works.... as those
are just text menus not css menus as on the art site)

On the art site I did not use any tables just divs, and the html and css
validate
http://validator.w3.org/
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

I used my paypal account and the online code maker there which I just pasted
into the code view.

http://www.mals-e.com/ is the free cart.

For SEO (search engine Optimsation) I followed the guidelines at the free
classes here.

This link includes an overview of the free classes, along with a link to
class registration.
http://www.gnc-web-creations.com/seo-optimization.htm
BOTH the SEO Class and the Marketing Class are required. One must join both
BEFORE one's membership will be approved.

Everything I do is geared towards being lazy .... I opt for less
maintenance, quicker working conditions, better coding so my sites do better
in the search engines...all it takes it time to learn the next thing on the
list. This year it's going to be Databases, Forms (not fp), working with
graphics in making templates and learning more CSS. Possiblly some php as I
had to work with wordpress in order to make a new blog ... I find php quite
neat... I need to find a free class.

and that is how I work:)
