Only one out of the many posts unless I missed something.

Not really relevant.
Many have accepted agreements they may not agree with such as interest
rates on loans, contracts etc. But once it is accepted, whether you
later "agree" or not is not relevant.
You are tying sold and support together and they can not be.
Microsoft in fact sold the licenses to the OEMs to install on the OEM
computers.
Along with that, it is agreed no support comes from Microsoft.
That of course leaves off limited free support for Windows Update
issues, Activation, knowledgebase on the website etc.
The choice is simple, if you want the full potential benefits,
purchase retail.
If on the other hand, you feel you need less, purchase OEM as many do
and save the $.
The choice is for the consumer to decide and choice is good.
