Pausing embedded sound files

Hi,

I am developing some presentations for eductional use that are
simulations of physical processes. Most of these contain sound files
of about 200 kb. During the presentation, it is often necessary to
pause it, in order for the teacher to offer some explanation. When the
sound file is linked to the presentation, the sound will pause and
continue from that point when restarted. However, when the sound file
is embedded into the presentation it starts at the beginning after it
has been paused. Does anyone know how I can have an embedded sound
file that continues from the point at which it is paused?

Try using Insert, Object, Create from File to add the sound.
That might work better for you.
