Pausing and Resuming a motion path

Hi
Can anyone please help me?

I created the following PPT....

I had Pictures randomly placed on the PPT and wanted to select a picture at
random. To do this I made an object (star) and created a freeform motion path.
When I clicked the mouse the star would begin moving on the path over the
pictures and when I clicked again...the star froze where ever it got up to.

I can't remember how I did it! as I was messing about with the animation
settings...and I lost the file recently..
Since trying to recreate this I have failed miserably..

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Are you sure you stopped the animation with a mouse click? I can't think of
an option at the moment. But if you press the "1" key on your keyboard, the
animation will stop, with "Q" you can resume it.

Thanks for the response Ute

I managed to work out how I did it...I used scribble for my motion path and
made the path last a longtime so that it took a while to repeat. I then chose
repeat>until nextclick

As long as the path doesn't finish you can pause it when the mouse is clicked
and then moved onto the next slide

I didn't know about using 1 and q and that seems alot better to use!

Many thanks
