pausing an audio playing file

Is it possible to have a recorded narration play automatically when the user
moves to the slide - but also have an option on the slide to 'pause' or
'stop' audio? It's for a CD ROM and they may get sick of hearing the voice if
they need to go back to that slide!

TIA

Sydney,
When the user gets back to a slide that already has been shown, he will get
there at the finished state of the slide, the animations/sound will not play
again.

Sydney,
Also if you want them to be able to stop the audio first time round, you
could, in PPT 2003, activate the custom animation task pane, select your
sound icon on the slide, click on add effect, choose Sound actions, select
stop/pause. Now double click on the custom animation entry in the task pane,
choose Timing tab, select an object text or other in the list in the bottom
of the dialog, and use that as a trigger to stop the audio. A textbox with
the text click here to stop audio would do.
But maybe someone else will have better ideas.

Very helpful - thank you Luc, unfortunately I'm working in 2002 - but if the
audio doesn't play when they go back, that's fine

thanks again
