Patch against Blaster and other programs

Hello

I've installed the Microsoft patch KB823980 (MS03-026) on
a W2K SP3 server. After reboot, my backup program doesn't
work (BACKUP EXEC 9.0) with an error message "The program
can't reach the database" or something like that.

As the patch is about RPC files, and that many
applications are using this service, I suppose the problem
comes from the patch I applied !!!

Can someone help me ?

Hi,

I cannot really help solve your problem, but can share the
similiar issues. I patched our server, we run Backup EXEC
8 that is still running fine, however the PATCH corrupted
our Exchange Information Store which was a real problem
for users emails.
