How do I password my machine xp home, my wife's machine
xp home, and my laptop win98, and finally my son's xp
home? Thanks

There is no security in Windows 98, any password can be bypassed
simply by hitting Cancel.

For each of the XP's just log in with an admin account
and use the User Account's applet of control panel to
set a password (that is strong, lots of 2($dT4& mixed
in) on each account - and communicate this to the needed
people. Leave no account without.

For the 98, upgrade to a securable OS.
