pasting in color from excel

Why do my excel cells only paste in black text into powerpoint? I'm using
2003 for the first time and never had this problem before. Thank you for
your help.

Set up a color printer driver as your default printer. Sounds weird, but it
should do the trick.
 
Echo is correct. Your problem will be caused by configuring a B&W
printer as your default. Install a colour printer driver and assign
this as the default when pasting from excel to powerpoint.
