Pasting from excel - Image loss

I want to copy certain cells in excel directly into my word document so I can
format in word without it effecting my original excel document. In our
proposals we have our logo at the top (jpeg), when i ctrl+v the copied cells
into word my logo disappears. It comes back if I cut the table out, so I know
there is some issue with my original excel spreadsheet. Help! I want my logo
and my tables!

the jpeg logo is insert in Word, right? Where exactly is your cursor in
Word when you paste from Excel?

My image is in the body of a word document at the very top. I place my cursor
somewhere in the middle of the document (in between text) and paste. My image
disappears after i paste. I can bring the image back if i cut/delete the
pasted table.

without looking over your shoulders, it sounds as what you are pasting
indeed has some content in the area where your picture is.

I'd try the options under Paste Special to see if any of the non-default
actions suits your needs and leaves your picture alone.

Robert,

Thank you for your help! However I have tried every Paste Special option
there is and it doesn't seem to work. And I want to add that this does not
happen every time just on occasion. Do you think it may have something to do
with my excel settings? I am not as familiar with excel as I am with word.

me neither (by far! .-)).

If the problem only surfaces every now and then, it makes it harder to
pin down. If you like, you can send me a short file where the logo is
hidded by what you just pasted.

Otherwise, I'd look in an Excel or directly in a group for Office.
