Pasting Excel gridlines in PowerPoint

I'm trying to copy some data from Excel and paste into PP as a picture.
When I "paste special" and choose "Picture (Enhanced MetaFile)", it drops in
all the gridlines also. How can I prevent this?

Shawn,
To not copy the gridlines, in Excel choose Tools + Options and in
either General or View, uncheck the Gridlines checkbox.
