pasting e-mail to Word results in one big blob!

This question has been something I've wanted to ask for years and finally
summoned up the courage to . Incidentally, I just glanced around the
questions relating to formatting tricks when pasting from the Web to Word,
and all the problems seem to relate to excess this or that, especially
related to spacing.

Well, I have the opposite problem. I could care less about extra
formatting. My problem is. . . when I cut and paste from my Yahoo e-mail to
Word, I end up with no formatting. In other words, I end up with one big
blob.

What might you suggest (besides not choosing help desk work as a
professional career)?
