Pasting Color Graph from Excel into PowerPoint goes B&W

I've made a good looking color graph in Excel and want to
paste it into a PowerPoint presentation. If I paste it
as an excel embedded object it stays color, but if I
paste it as a picture (my preference) it becomes black
and white. The only way I've found to get it color is to
paste special as a "Device Independent Bitmap", but then
the color does not look as sharp, etc.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Craig

If you have XP version of Excel

Select the graph
Hold down the shift key and select the Edit Menu

Select "copy picture"

You then have the option of a vector (WMF) or a bit mapped version.
Paste it into your application
