Excel color-formatted cells printing in black

I couldn't find any suggestions in the archives to solve my issue and am
hoping someone can help. On any excel spreadsheet of late, I can't get any
color-formatted cells (normal Arial font/text) to print in anything other
than black & white. Highlighted cells display the appropriate color as does
the color in any embedded pictures. Output color is set to color; page set
up/print/ has black & white unchecked. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can

Are you saying that NOTHING prints in color, or are pictures printing
in color but cell formatting is black and white?
Does Print Preview display color or black and white?
Do documents from other programs or the web come out in color on the
same printer?

An embedded picture prints in color. Highlighted cells come out with the
cells highlighted in color.
Print preview displays black & white.
Documents from other programs print out in color from the same printer.
Text does not print in color.
