paste errors table

I'm attempting to copy data from Excel into Access, but when I hit a record
that doesn't match a record in the lookup table, it just stops pasting. In
the past when I've had this problem, Access automatically created a Paste
Errors table so I could see the offending records. Any reason why it would
not be doing this?
 
why not just link to the Excel file, and then use an append query.
Then you have better control over which records will error out. (you
can filter them out before running the append).
