Past appointments are gone?

I've noticed that older appointments have disappeared from the calendar. I use my calendar for work and I was looking for a date of a specific appointment from December, 2003 and it was gone? Then I noticed that all appointments other than recurring appointments and holidays were gone, too. Is there an option that can be set that will allow all appointments to remain on my calendar

I'm going to guess that autoarchive has moved them to an archive file
on your machine. You might try right-clicking the calendar and going to
Properties | AutoArchive and see where that file is. Then you can open
it and find your old appointments. You can also turn off autoarchiving
if you wish.
