Can anyone guide me through a process using Windows XP (Home) on a Toshiba
Satellite A30 /514 whereby I can password protect a CD ROM? I know I can
protect each individual file, but I can't find a way of protecting a complete
CD against anyone finding it and accessing my data.
Can anyone help?

Put all the CD contents in a compressed folder and password protect the
compressed folder.

John;
Follow WTCs suggestion.
But how secure do you need it.
The sensitivity of the data should be a major factor in what level of
security is used.
Almost every security measure can be quickly broken with unrestricted
access.

If you have Windows XP Pro, consider encryption if the data is extremely
sensitive.
However misuse can and often does cause permanent loss of all encrypted
data:
