Doing a clean install of Windows on a Satellite M35-S456 laptop....need help please!

I bought a Toshiba Satellite M35-S456 last month but hate the extra
baggage they put on it with the OS. I want to use Microsoft Windows XP
Home Full OEM with COA (which has been shipped out today) and do a
clean install rather than what it came with from Toshiba. My question
is can I boot the Satellite M35-S456 from CD-ROM (if so how? F2 key?
or pressing the C key while booting?)?? Is there a way around this to
do a clean install of windows?

If the Satellite M35-S456 needs to be set in the bios to boot from
the CD-ROM how do I access the bios?

TIA!

After installing Windows XP, visit the Toshiba support
web site to download all the necessary specialized drivers:

Cannot you modify the installation to uninstall what you dont want?
and or uninstall other apps?
Is this OEM disk from Toshiba?

I'm not a Microsoft employee so do not assume the advice
given in this newsgroup is endorsed by Microsoft.
This is strictly a peer-to-peer newsgroup where anyone
can offer helpful advice.

To answer your question, an OEM version of Windows XP
does not entitle one to unpaid Microsoft technical support.
Only "retail versions" of Windows XP entitles one to two (2)
free technical support calls to Microsoft.

However, if you have a problem, please feel free to post your
question in this newsgroup and I'm sure someone will offer
some assistance.

Goof luck with your endeavor!
