I need to get into a website, but have forgotten my password.

Is there any place on the computer where passwords are stored? If so, how do
I retrieve them?

The password may be encrypted. It could be in the AutoComplete store or in
a cookie. If the site uses plain text cookies, the password will be
readable when you open the corresponding cookie file with a text editor.
Alternatively, you could try and contact the site administration. They may
be able to send you an email with your existing password or they might
reset the account so that you can create a new one.
