passwords

After using the restore feature on a Windows XP home
edition system, Outlook will not remember passwords and
while surfing I am repeatedly get the remember password
box, say "yes remember password" but the password is not
remembered. I have made sure a password exist in the
internet properties setup. Can anyone help? Thanks
