i have completely forgotten the password to my
administrator account along with the secret question
answer. is there any way of resetting the passwords of
getting into the account if i dont know either of the

you can try this i have had success although only use it as a last resort

If used on users that have EFS encrypted files, and the system is XP,
all encrypted files for that user will be UNREADABLE! and cannot be
recovered unless you remember the old password again

easy solution:

restart computer, and after it does its POST (test) and
before the windows screen loads up, press F8 and load up
in safe mode.
From here log on as administrator.
Control Panel, User Accounts, Change user, remove
password, create a new password.

Worked for me last night and is handy to know.
