How can I when I power up my computer have it ask for a
password to go anyfurther, I have a child that is abusing
his computer use so I want only me to be able to start
the computer up. Any help I can get with this problem I
would appreachiate. Thanks Mark

Check your computer's manual for instructions on accessing the BIOS. All modern BIOS's support a "boot password".

Additionally, open a Command Prompt window and enter NET USER /? You'll get the list of command line options, including the ability to disable a particular account.
