Passwords to WebSites - Can the File be Edited?

Several Websites I visit, have apparently been set up with multiple and
different user names in the Password file, as a result of misspellings at
the time they were set up by me. Is there any way to edit the password file
to remove them, short of deleting the file and starting over?
 
When a misspelled item drops down, move the highlight to it and press
the Delete key.
