Passwords in OE

I have a brand new computer. Everytime I open OE, I have to enter the
passwords for my accounts. When I go to tools--> accounts, and look at the
properties, it is not saving the passwords (the pw box is blank) even though
the box is checked for it to do so. I can still get my mail but I think this
is a ridiculous nuisance. My old computer has the same version numbers for OE
and it does not do this. Any ideas?
