How do I configure my computer so that when it starts up
it asks for a password and you cant access anything on
the computer until you enter the password. Windows XP is
the operating system.

If you want it to login automatically, then you need to:
a) Start, Run
b) control userpasswords2
c) Disable option 'Users must enter a user name and password to use
this computer'
d) Option is available on Tweakui for XP as well.
