Hello, I have been facing an awful problem for days. (I
got Windows XP Pro)

One week ago I was listening to some music and suddenly
the power cutted. Once it got back, I switched on my
computer again and after a quick disk check I logged into
the administrator account named "Peps" but once I was
logged I realised that everything was stuck :
mouse,keyboard,... so I had to restart it with tower
button. -> Here is the problem -> After a quick disk check
again I had myself stuck in the "Choose an Account"
screen. Let me explain how. I click on "Peps" the admin
account and I was asked a password... BUT I have never set
a password for this account. This is a nasty problem. I am
now logged on a limited account called "family" and I have
no idea what to do. Anyone can help me to deal with this
because I cant keep logging on a limited account.

Thx for your help

Paul

Hi Paul,

Have you tried leaving it <blank>?
Are there any other accounts with Admin priviledges?
Did you ever create a password reset disk?
