Good Afternoon,
I have two computers (ones a backup), one has Windows XP
Home the other Windows 98. I have FrontPage 2002 installed
on both. I can publish using FrontPage, I can work my site
on line, and log in with FTP on the XP machine. I can log
into my site on FTP with the Win98 machine but I can not
publish or get into my site on-line with the Win 98
machine. The server will not accept my username password
as does FTP. The Password & username are the same on each
machine. Can you help?

Which version of IE is installed on Windows 98?

which one has the actual internet connection i.e. are you using internet
connection sharing?

IE5.5 New info. Upgraded to Win ME no change. Reverted
back to Win98, No change

Both have internet connection. Dial up-phone jack to
splitter to both computers. Only one on line at a time.
And once again all of this works fine with FTP.

Now upgraged to Windows ME and IE 6.0 problems remain the
same

Is Windows ME / 98 connecting directly to the internet or is it connecting to Window XP to get to
the internet?
