I have the same situation. You supposed to register somewhere to
publish your calendars on the web. But I don't want to...
Is there any way to disable this feature?

This was bugging me too, and I found the solution to disabling it...

In Outllook, go to Tools->Options->Mail Setup->Email Accounts. Click the
'Published Calendars' Tab and remove the Published Calendar. You'll be
prompted to enter Microsoft Online, which you will need to login to using the
MSN ID you created and password. Once it's removed you should no longer be
prompted.
