Why prompts for publishing Calendar?

I have had my calendar toggled to be published for the last six months.
Recently I began receiving a "Sign in" popup that read, “Please enter your
username and password for publishing calendars to
calendars.office.microsoft.com.†I tried doing that most times it popped up
for the first few days, then got too annoyed. I ended up deleting the
calendar from the online profile, but I'm still getting the message from the
Outlook app in my laptop every time it syncs - ??

When I go into Outlook, this is how it goes:

Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Email accounts…> Published Calendars

It shows up here, so I click “Removeâ€

“Do you want to stop publishing the calendar (name)?â€
I click “yesâ€

“The calendar is published to Microsoft Office Online. Do you want to go to
Office Online now to remove it?â€
I click “Yes.†It takes me to
https://calendars.office.microsoft....Off=-300&dstOff=-240&smn=3&sdy=8&emn=11&edy=1,
where it reads, “You currently do not have any calendars hosted on Office
Online. For help publishing calendars to Office Online, click here.â€

I have the same problem. and nothing I have found has worked to stop it.
Microsoft support wants to charge to fix what is obviously a bug introduced
by their system. Any help?
