password requirements

Does anyone know what the specifications/requirements are
for the password on pop3 mail accounts (number of
characters, etc.). Outlook 2000 keeps giving me error
0x800ccc92.
 
Password requirements are set by your ISP. If you don't remember your
password contact your ISP to have them reset your password
