password recovery

who ever can help me please reply back to me. i
have just gotten a new laptop and i put a password on the
administrator account and i dont remember the password.
but when i turn my laptop on it boots up in the guest
account and somehow it got a password protected on it.how
can i recover my password to turn off the guest account?
remember, i dont have a administrator account due to lost
of password. thanx jimmy
