Password protect program install

Is it possible to require a password in order to install a
program? My computer is shared and other users continue
to install nuisence programs on my machine! Any Ideas?
 
Most application require adminstrative rights in order to install properly.
You should create seperate accounts for each person that uses your PC and
do not give them administrator rights.
