I am in the same boat. I just bought a Dell Axim PPC which syncs with
Outlook. I want to run Outlook and password protect and run Outlook Express
with no password. Also I want to run both but not have the contacts be in
both aps?

Set up MAPI accounts and do not cache the password. Require a login everytime.

Rightclick the root of your folderset (Outlook Today)-> Properties-> button
Advanced-> button Change Password
