password protect a shared folder on XP home edition?

Does anyone know how I can password protect a shared
folder on my computer? I would like people to be able to
access and change files under this folder only if they
know the password. I am running XP Home Edition. Thanks.

You can't password protect a folder, however you can use ntfs folder/file permissions
to grant access to specific users only. See the link below about how to do that
including the special procedure for XP Home that involves booting into Safe
