Password Problems W2KPro & W2K3SRVR

Hi All,

I'm stumped ... I can't seem to figure out why I can't
change a user password by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL on any
of my W2K SP4 workstations.

Everything looks fine accordinging to the reports I ran
using the GPMC SP1 tool against the user & computer. The
winning policy is Default Domain Policy.

Any insight would be appreciated,

Enforce Password History = 1 password remembered
Maximum Password Age = 42 days
Minimum Password Age = 1 days
Minimum Password Length = 7 characters
Password Must Meet Complexity = Disabled
Store Password Reversibel Encryption = Disabled

John Doe, Domain User, AD Users Container

Computer:
=========
TESTPC, Domain Computers, AD Computers Container

Hi T/A,

The message I get is:

"Your password must be at least 7 characters and cannot
repeat any of the previous 1 passwords ..."


Obiviously, the password has never been used. We have
this problem out in our production environment and I am
able to reproduce it in our test lab.

Please let me know if you (or others) require more
information. This is a "show stopper" for us as it means
that we can't go forward with W2K3 server until we
understand what we did or missed.
