Password or No Password ?

Previously in Windows 2000 Professional you could set it
that it would always login on it's own with the password
you specified so you never had to type your password.

I don't see that in XP Professional - does it exist?

Start - Run the line
control userpasswords2
Uncheck the box 'Users must give a username', and Apply - it will ask
for the user account and password to use.

BTW you can bypass the autologon so as to get a logon dialog should you
really need it, by holding down shift as the system boots up
