Since I have networked my two computers (server is
windows xp and client is windows 98), I have lost
the "open with" capabilites that I love with xp. How can
I fix this? Also the client requires a password when I
turn on my computer. I am the only one using these
computers and really have no need for passwords. How can
I change this? I just want the two computers to be able
to talk and share files and storage.

I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer.

On the client, go to Control Panel | Network and set the primary
network logon to Windows Logon. Reboot, and log on with a user name
and no password. It won't ask for a logon or password again.

All peer-to-peer network functions are available using Windows Logon.

Thanks so much. I've also discovered that the "open
with " is only lost in some programs. Probably not there
ot begin with and I just didn't notice it. Thanks again
