PASSWORD LOCKOUT

Trying to help my parents with XP Professional locking them out. At startup
it is asking for password. To our knowledge a password had never been
created. Happened about a year ago and a "tech" got it to go away....well
it's back!

See others have had that trouble to.

Please advise how to correct.

Thank you.....I will try these suggestions. Sounds like I'll have to do the "Safe Mode" method since it is XP Professional, which being somewhat computer illiterate scares the heck out of me!!! Thank you for your reply
