Password in dialup

Win2k sp4. I have setup my dial up and it works fine. The only problem
is that when I use the save password feature, it saves a password with
more characters which is not mine. How do I correct this problem?

Your password (regardless of actual length) will always be masked by the 16
asterisks. A security feature of Windows

Do you mean it's showing more dots/asterix than the characters in the
your password? If so it's supposed to do that. It's a type of mask,
that way if it shows 8 *'s and you have a 6 digit password no one will
guess your password contains 6 digits. Just makes it a little more
difficult to guess.

It works fine now. Thank you both for you prompt replies.
I have a question about my ie6 browser. I know this is not a browser
group but it is a basic question. I cannot change my homepage. I have
tried to set it to foxnews.com from within the browser and also in
the registry keys. It always sets back to it's default which is
msn.com. I have always been able to do this in previous versions. Is
there something different about ie6 that I should try?
