Password hidden

I have a working wireless home network that is password protected. My own
laptop logs on automatically and the password is displayed as just dots, not
the actual word or phrase that I used when I set up the router. Apparently,
I can't remember the correct password to give to a new user on our home
network. How do I make my own computer display the correct password instead
of just the dots in the log-in information?

I think Nirsoft has a password revealer utility provided the input
control is a standard object. Otherwise, why not just reset the
router, access point, or whatever it is that you mean by "wireless".

I've used this program and it seems to work as advertised.

Are you certain that you are not talking about the encryption key?
To get the key, login to the router, and the router software will display
the key.

Revelation v2.0 is a tool that can unmask passwords. This does not work on
all application but I have found a success rate in the past. Once the
application is installed you can drag a cross hair from the application to
the text that is masked and if all works the password will be revealed in
clear text.If this does not work the Admin thing to do would be to reset the
router and create a new password.

I hope this helps
