Windows 2000 Pro remembers names and passwords for web pages that one
frequently signs onto. One that I use formerly used your e-mail address but
now wants only the part before the @ sign. I can't seem to get it to change.

How do I edit what is stored in the data base that stores this information?

Thanks

That is not a Operating System feature, it is specific to the web
browser that you use or other third party utilities that may be
installed on your computer. Do a search on the internet for your
browser coupled with passwords, for example: "Internet Explorer
Passwords" or "Mozilla Passwords" and you will find the information you
need.
