Password failure

My fathers is running a windows vista powered pc and will no longer log on
using the password and says the password is incorrect and has not been
changed, i am at a loss on how to resolve. have tried many things and cannot
locate how to set up safe mode.can anyone please help?

Burn the image to a cd or floppy and boot your machine.
Follow the defaults to delete any administrator passwords.
This is a small linux program, but all in a command prompt screen.

If you would like another option I have made a rescue boot disk.
The NT Password editor mentioned above is included but with a much
easier Windows interface.
250 M/B zip file unzips to an iso image.
