password complexity check

Running XP pro and have password complexity check
disabled. When user attempts to change password they
receive a message that the password failed the complexity
check.
Help Appreciated
 
Are you in a domain? The domain policy may be overriding your setting.

Or... If you have just changed it, it may not have yet taken effect. Try
rebooting the machine or run GPUPDATE from Start--> Run
