When I try to open the other computer in my network I get a password box
asking for a password for the TP\guest account on the other computer (TP is
the computer name) all folders are shared, firewalls are turned of, both
computers can see each other on the network & both computers can ping each
other.
This happens if I connect through a router,Hub or a crossover cable.
Both computers are running Win XP. net user guest is set active

Remove the network password from the Guest account. On both
computers:

1. Click Start | Run.
2. Type "control userpasswords2" in the box and click OK:
3. Click Guest.
4. Click Reset Password.
5. Click OK without entering a new password.

Double-check the Guest account network setting. It should be:

net user guest /active:yes
