Passive FTP connection blocked

My friend is trying to download from ftp.epson.com and
getting nothing. I looked at the Firewall Log and found
that the second port (+1024) of the passive ftp connection
is consistently blocked at her machine. Took down the
firewall, got the same result. She's running XP and the
OS's Firewall is off, IP filter is allowing all, the
connection just isn't being completed at her end.

Ideas?

Joel,

It's probably not her machine. Passive/Active capabilities are normally set
on the FTP server. Epson may also have some parameters set on their
firewall that is preventing the passive connection.

Short term alternative is to use an active connection.
