Sorry for tripple & Long posting.

****For Experienced people only*****
Disclaimer does apply.

Unplug you internet connection
Needed windows 98se bootdisk with fdisk & Smartdrv on it.
Partition program. I used system commander 7.5
Winme dos patch. Copy i386 folder to Cd rom

Make sure you have all your drivers & product keys for each os before
doing a clean install
C-win98se (Fat32)
D-winme (Fat32)
E-winxp (Fat32)
F-backup (Fat32)

Here how I did a triple boot system (Using 40 gb drive)
Install windows 98se (If not installed)
Install zip drive Edit windows98 config.sys add lastdrive=Z
Install System Commander 7.0 Install system Commander 7.5 update.

Change you zip drive letter & Cdrom drive to y and z
Use a partition program to resize windows 98se
Use a partition program to create 3 other fat 32 partition.
Tip make sure you xp partition is at least 9.4 gb
Make sure you 95b,98,me, are at least 4gb

Reboot into windows 98se. Temporally Disable boot manager.
Copy the win9x folder to the d drive. Copy the i386 folder to the
e drive. Reboot with 98se bootdisk.
Change directory to c:\windows directory
Copy win.com win.co$
Del c:\windows\win.com
Change back to a:\ drive
Type fdisk. Say y if asked for fat32 support.
Chose 2 set active partition make winme(D) partition active.
Reboot with floppy still in drive Type a:\smartdrv.exe
Install winme c:\win9x\setup.exe
Remove floppy when it start installing
When it gets done. Install the msdos patch. (Patch will have
instructions)
Edit config.sys
Device=c:\windows\ifshlp.sys
LASTDRIVE=Z
Edit autoexec.bat
C:\windows\win.com

Install zip drive
Change you zip drive letter & Cdrom drive to y and z
Reboot with win98se floppy back in drive.
Type fdisk. Say y if asked for fat32 support.
Chose 2 set active partition make winxp (E) partition active.
Reboot with floppy in drive
Type a:\smartdrv.exe
Make sure you chose drive c and leave file system intact.
Install Winxp C:\i386\winnt.exe
Remove floppy. When xp say it ready to reboot.
Don’t install zip drive software. Xp will detect it better.
Iomega software does not work with xp and causes problems.
You will need to edit the c:\boot.ini file and remove the invalid
choice. Insert win98se floppy. Then active the win98se partition.
Reboot with floppy still in drive.
Then copy the c:\windows\win.co$ to c:\windows\win.com
Remove floppy. Reboot Restore boot manger once into windows 98se.
Now you have a tripple boot.

tips Xp-Install all hardware before activating.
Recycle bin will have a conflict.
Change the setting to configure each drive independently.
If your in windows 98 change drive d, e, f to don’t remove files to
recycle bin
If your in windows me change drive d, e, f to don’t remove files to
recycle bin.
If your in windows xp change drive d, e, f to don’t remove files to
recycle bin

This method prevents xp from putting the windows folder and program
folder on another drive.

If using an image program like ghost. Disable boot manger before from
windows 98se before backing up.

Latest System Commander version is 7.05, this includes a partitioning
program.

Use the System Commander partitioning program to make the partitions for ME
and backup.
Disagree with your methodology.

Reserve blank space for XP.
Install XP, NTFS file system, not FAT32. Use the install XP CD to boot from
and install XP, along with partitioning and formatting NTFS.

System Commander has a diskette making utility for restoring the boot
manager in the master boot sector area. This utility is in windows (98SE)
where the remaining System Commander files will exist on that partition.

Zip is dead.
