Partitioning hard drives

When I partition my hard drive using the Windows XP Setup, it always leave
some unpartitioned space behind ...... for example i have 6.4 GB hard-drive
....... whenever i tried to partition it, XP Setup always leave about 8 MB of
unpartitioned space, which is not included in any drive partitions. ( XP
Setup shows after partitioning that 8 MB space has been left unused )

My question is what is this and how it can be solved ????

The 8MB of space is reserved for the installation of the
Recovery Console, in the event you need to install it
in the future.
