Partitioning Hard Drive

Providing you are happy with losing all your data, book with the XP CD, go
through the F8 to accept the EULA, then use XP to delete the partitions,
create a new one of 20gb, install XP and then let it startup..... Right
click on My Computer, select Manage, the unpartitioned space on the drive
will show up as unpartitioned, and XP can partition it and assign it a drive
letter.

If you want to keep data, but just resize partitions, then either Partition
Magic or BootItNG will do the necessary.

I have a 80 gig hard drive, partitioned 20/60. In the past I have used
windows ME on it, and now XP. I used a windows 98 boot disk to fdisk it, and
sort the partition sizes. I then let windows XP format the 60gig partition.
Stop it before it installs XP, and then restart, letting it format the20 gig
partition, and continue with the XP installation on the 20 gig partition. Is
their easier way to do this, and without using Partition Magic or similar
software.

Stan.
